Linkage to Care (L2C)

The Cy Checkpoint offers  peer-support to people who's test reacts to antibodies of HIV and/or Hepatitis. We offer to make all necessary arrangements for the confirmation tests, and accompany people should they wish to. Until a test is confirmed as positive, none can be 100% sure. We offer guidance, empowerment and all necessary information for the individual to be able to make informed decisions on how they want to proceed.

In Cyprus, the HIV system is separate from the National Health System and thus it allows us to link anyone to care, so they can have access to treatment and monitoring, in case their reactive test is confirmed positive. We can link anyone to care including:

  • Cypriot citizens

  • European Union citizens

  • Migrants (with or without documents)

  • Asylum Seekers

  • Recognised Refugees
